B & LET LIV project
Integrating animal welfare & human well-being
Integrating animal welfare & human well-being Without compassion and empathy for animal welfare, humane welfare will not exist.
Our goal is to educate the public on the resources which should be our society's standard of care for all people and animals to coexist.
Whole health regarding mind, body, and spirit should be taught to everyone.
Integration is the key to being healthy = mind, body, and spirit as one.
“I have always been passionate about rescue dogs, they are my soul food. It was my rescue, Buster, who changed the trajectory of my life by teaching me about unconditional love.”—Jennifer Windt, Founder and creator of B & Let Liv
A NEW LEASH ON LIFE
From the moment Jen met Buster, the American Staffordshire terrier rescue, it was a love story to rival when Harry met Sally. Theirs was not only love at first sight but also life purpose at first sight, because adopting Buster gave Jen a compelling new conviction. Living with this very special—but often misunderstood, and therefore mistreated—breed sparked the flame of advocacy within Jen.She went on to educate about and fight breed-specific legislation against Pit Bull-type dogs. But Jen wouldn’t stop there: this fire of injustice compelled her to found the B & Let Liv Project, which is dedicated to unifying human and animal welfare. This nonprofit educates and advocates for the compassionate and wholehearted coexistence of humans and animals in our often cruel modern world. Although Buster sadly crossed the rainbow bridge in October of 2021, the B & Let Liv Project proudly honors his memory.Animal-Human Integration
One of our primary focuses is addressing the discrimination against “pit bull” type dogs. We work tirelessly to debunk the myth that these animals are inherently dangerous and to fight against Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) that unfairly targets them. We believe that these dogs are wrongly discriminated against and deserve a chance to be loved and cared for in responsible homes.
Our Initiatives
Education
We provide resources and workshops to educate the community on responsible pet ownership, the benefits of spaying and neutering, and the importance of adopting rather than shopping for pets.
Advocacy
We advocate for the rights of “pit bull” type dogs and work to change public perception through awareness campaigns and community outreach.
Support
We offer support to pet owners and potential adopters, helping them understand the needs of their pets and how to provide the best care possible.
